Data and purposes

When you contact us by email or telephone, we may receive your name, business contact details, company, role, message and any documents you choose to send. We use this information to answer enquiries, prepare proposals and manage sourcing and market development relationships.

The site has no forms, user accounts, shop, newsletter or installed analytics tools. Email buttons open your email application; a message is sent only when you choose to send it. Hosting and security infrastructure may process IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages and browser information to deliver and protect the site.

Legal bases

Requests for proposals or services are processed for pre-contractual steps or contract performance where applicable (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Communications with business representatives, enquiry follow-up and security rely on legitimate interests in managing professional relationships and protecting the service (Article 6(1)(f)), with due regard for individuals’ rights. Records subject to legal duties are processed to meet those duties (Article 6(1)(c)).

Providing information is voluntary, but without sufficient contact or project details we may be unable to answer or prepare a proposal. This site does not carry out solely automated decisions or profiling.

Recipients and international transfers

Information may be processed by email, hosting and security providers needed to operate the service. Email is hosted by Amen; the site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information when legally necessary.

For international projects, any disclosure of personal information to manufacturers or partners will be limited to what is necessary and have an appropriate legal basis. Visiting the site does not send your contact details to manufacturers. Processing outside the European Economic Area requires applicable GDPR safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about recipients and the safeguards used.

Retention and security

Contact information is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and manage the professional relationship. It is deleted when that purpose ends, unless statutory recordkeeping or the exercise or defence of legal rights requires retention. The period depends on the enquiry, any contractual relationship and applicable legal deadlines.

The site uses HTTPS and access and security measures appropriate to the service. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data or personal documents.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to vania@bvmeridian.com; proportionate information may be needed to verify your identity.

You may complain to Portugal’s Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) or another competent supervisory authority. We respond within GDPR deadlines.
